ABOUT ULLA
Ulla Virtanen is a Helsinki-based freelance actor.
She trained in acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, in New York. After graduating, she continued her studies at the Upright Citizens Brigade, a comedy school & theater, both in New York and Los Angeles.
Ulla has also lived in London. She studied at the prestigious film & TV-program in the University of Westminster.
Currently Ulla works as an actor in TV, film and theater in Finland. Among the Finnish TV-shows in her resumé are Onnela, Luottomies (Wingman), Härölä, Roba, Downshiftaajat and ToosaTV. She has also had roles in films Valmentaja (2019) and Sangarid (2017).
She is a multi-skilled in the field of the entertainment. Ulla has written several comedy- , entertainment- and fiction scripts for the Finnish TV. Comedy series Härölä (writer ensemble), Kultainen Venla Awards galas, Mental Samurai Suomi -game show and Dancing with the Stars Finland, to mention a few.
She also works as a professional improviser and she has long experience in stand up comedy.
She is often seen as a guest in various comedy panels and entertainment shows in Finland.
